Congratulations to the #Chemistry2Energy Photo Contest’s seventh weekly winner, Timmy Childs (@EvenPar8462), who creatively submitted a photo of a football player along with the caption:
#Chemistry2Energy – Lighter weight and stronger plastics make football players faster, more energy efficient and safer
From sports equipment to vehicle components to building products, lightweight flexible plastics help Americans do more with less, while working to maximize energy efficiency and performance. That includes athletic performance!
Timmy will receive $50 to go toward his next energy bill and is now eligible to win the grand prize of $1,419 in November. That’s what the average U.S. household paid for electricity alone in 2010.
Next Friday, November 16, we will announce our eighth and final $50 winner. On November 19, we will open the contest up to voters to help us decide which of the eight finalists’ submissions deserves the top spot overall.
Don’t miss your opportunity to be a winner; show us how chemistry helps you save energy by submitting your photo today!
